I'm looking for some (free) resume software. I'm well qualified to teach, I just want to have a professional resume.

Thanks.

I find most of the template stuff pretty boring to look at and they almost all tend to look the same.

Keep it simple, put the stuff that qualifies you for the job at the beginning - and in most of the world you'll need to attach or put your photo on your resume (something most templates won't want to do). Dress professionally for your photo.

Make it look a little different so people will want to look at it.

Make sure your contact address is professional also. I've seen resumes with addresses like [email protected] applying for teaching jobs!

It's not that hard to do, really.

I just wanted to add something in addition to what 'tedkarma' said: You should keep in mind that an ESL resume is a lot different from one that you would use to apply to a company, for example. While 'fattening' a resume up to show that you have a long work history might help when applying to a company, schools are only interested in your teaching related experience. You wouldn't necessarily put coaching or even babysitting on a standard resume, but you would on an ESL resume.

I have written an article about this that you can find here:

Good luck in your job search!
