Yes... apply through the sites, don't wait for an ad... although many of the sites mention openings or not on the websites. Many of the better places almost never advertise... like ZU or AUS.
Many of these places do seem like applying for grad school... lots of rather inane questions. I prefer the places where you just send the CV and a cover letter. But, think I would be safe in saying that they are really only interested in your 'teaching' related tales, not the good old days of being a 7th grade lothario.
VS
BTW... URGU is UAEU... which I think we already recommended to you somewhere... |

I hear the UGRU is well on its way out. They're putting the foundation courses in the faculties and there is a new program to upgrade the high schools. Lots of jobs there! |

I work at UGRU and have not heard any of this. The program is going at full force, and the only foundation courses that are involved directly with the faculties would be the ESP classes taught by a few of the UGRU Instructors.
I haven't heard anything about a program to update high schools... |

VS is right. Dave's Job Discussion Forum might not be suitable for salacious anecdotes. Try the Penthouse Forum. |

Yep. Absolutely right. Seventh grade shouldn't get anyone heated up but oh well there will always be some.
I withdraw the anecdote. Remains my most (well, maybe) my most successful experience as asked for in an application. What the heck does that mean?
I know that they are referring to "teaching" experience but what a silly and ridiculous query. |

Um, the Al Ghad programme? Some UGRU teachers left to work on it. And then ADEC and all the rest - it's confusung I agree but it's definitely happening

Bindair is right and I am afraid 773 needs to listen and watch more carefully. Some have already transferred to posts in faculties. If UGRU management say that UGRU is safe, well, remember they say lots of things - such as that accommodation will be improved, or that there will be a big pay rise. I'm referring to the 15% raise announced in 2005 and which nobody in UGRU got, not the 25% one announced a few weeks ago which nobody will get. |

Fair enough and point well taken. I am new here and thus I have a lot to learn. |
