Hi,

Does anybody have any experience with this school. They have offered me a position with a good salary. How is Nanjing for living? Is the air somewhat clean or is it toxic. Are there things to do there, how is the transportation,etc..? Any info you can give me about the school or Nanjing will be helpful.

Thanks,

rara

Not sure if you're still looking for info...

I don't have any experience with the school, but I have been to Nanjing to visit friends and family. I visited 2 years ago during the summer and it was hot and pretty humid. It got cooler in the evenings, so that helped. My friends and family tell me that it can rain quite a bit during the spring and winter...it gets pretty cold in the winter too. Not cold enough for snow though Smile Probably more like Texas winters.

There's quite a bit to do...parks, museums, little shopping areas. I'd suggest visiting Fuzi Miao near the Qinhuai River if you're looking for something to do at night. A lot of people ride bikes or take public transportation. We did a lot of walking or riding taxis during my visit. There are quite a number of other universities there too, so you'll see a lot of college students all over...most of the ones I met were pretty cool and very friendly. As a general rule, so long as you're nice to people, they'll be nice back Smile

Hope that helps! If you need anymore info about the city, let me know and I can pass on your Q's to my relatives over there.
