Considering I just printed my bank account statement off of the internet, I could also find a bank logo online and make my own statment with Word. TECO just looked that my name was on there, the bank's name, and a bank account number. I am sure that a similar paper with a logo constructed by yourself would probably pass.
And there is also the method or boring the money from someone for a few days putting it in your bank account and then taking it out. My roomate in the US did it. |

It's interesting to read about all of this, since I never had any problems at all at the TECO office in Los Angeles.
I also never had to show a letter from a friend, or show proof of funds or a plane ticket.
I wonder if that is because I will be studying in Taipei for 3 months? I only had a letter from my school, two passport-sized photos, and the filled-out application.
I turned it in last Thursday and picked up my passport the next day - really easy!
But here's the thing...they gave me a 60-day visitor Visa, but my course is for 3 months.
I'd also like to stay at least another month after I study, so a total of 4 months.
Should I just go ahead and buy a return ticket 4 months from the time I'm getting there, or what would you guys recommend I do? |
