Just like to know what you like or dislike about Shanghai. I've always wanted to spend some time there. Thanks.

Well, depends on whether you like things 'in your face'. It's VERY overcrowded....stats show that an individual has about as much space as a double bed....in comparison to NA where it is a mile or more per person. (Does that make sense? I'm not sure how to put it)

Anyway, it's a vibrant, busy city with everything you'd need. Good shopping, entertainment...
but it is FULL of tourists (including Chinese tourists) that make it uncomfortable at times.

The staring (by Chinese tourists) and the attempted rip-offs are annoying. So is the lack of space....granted, China is crowded, but in Shanghai, it is suffocating.

Some hate it, some love it.
I'm not one who loves it...but I like the countryside.

Yes, it's true - Shanghai is a large, densely populated city with a plethora of things to do. Almost everything you may desire can be found here. I highly recommend it.

Considering the fact that Shanghai is crowded, I am amused when after asking the students if they will travel somewhere next week for the holiday, they typically respond that now is not a good time to travel because of all the people!

I heard the same thing in other cities as well.

Take a wild guess about what they will do?

Idea Sleep, shop, watch TV and play computer games.

Brainwashed Question
