Certainly would not want to teach the same lesson 20 times in the one week!
This year, I have seven classes of Freshmen university students for the same subject - so, I have to teach the same lesson 7 times a week.
The good thing is that the lesson preparation is not very demanding or time-consuming - but, by the end of the week I am feeling a bit bored by the constant repetition of the same lesson material.
However, your situation is 3 times "worse" than mine. Maybe you have developed some survival strategies in the classroom to keep each lesson fresh and interesting for you. |

Try doing the same lesson 27 times per week. The first 15 or so aren't too bad. I just feel sorry for the kids who have me for the last ten--all spontaneity is gone and I just don't care any more. I try to add a bit of variety --make the lesson a bit harder for those whose comprehension is better and a lot easier for the classes that don't understand sh**t. But essentially each lesson is the same and it sucks! |

Understand the feeling. That's when the totally excellent teacher just fakes it, remembers his cues, when to be excited, when to be serious, etc.
I am not always such an excellent teacher, but faking it is the key. We do it for the students. After all, we are student centered! Here tat means making them happy every day.
Oh well, gotta go prepare for Saturday's next thursday lesson |

You teach 40 hours a week?
I have taught some of my lessons for over three years and yes, after a couple lessons, it is just very hard not to fake interest when I hear the same boring answers again and again, or when I have to perform the same routine over and over to get a point across.
Bleah! I have to teach My Love by Westlife four times this weekend. I am not looking forward to it. Yeah, just games and songs this weekend to keep every class on the same pace. |

That's a little excessive. I have to teach the same material everyday for two weeks, but it's only one class a day. Plus I can vary the first half of the lesson as much as I want. |

Why not come up with a two-part lesson (or even two seperate lessons) and teach one for 10 lessons and the other for the other ten lessons, then switch them around the next week? |

i tried mixing up lesson in the past so as to avoid doing the same one all week. it was a disaster. even though i keep a record of what i do in every class, i kept getting things mixed up between one class and another. for the sake of easy organization and planning, i do the same lesson all week now, but i only have 7 classes a week. |
