Hey Beefer... Thanks for another negative and sarcastic reply.. I really feel we are becoming closer..
I did attempt to take a look at your 198 posts but soon got bored with the way you treat people that don't agree with you or give their opinions.
My EF post was poking fun at a place I worked at. If you didn't like it, maybe you should take your own advice...
1. you are canada???..cool, so am i....eh
Actually I am not Canada..... I am Canadian.....
3. chin up young man was not meant as any sort of "comeback"(???)
Please enlighten me on what you meant...
6. you have a very ignorant view of soccer. i used to think the same way you did....actually, your wording was exactly what i used to say to soccer fans....but once i left my ( our) great northern homeland, i took it upon myself to open up to new things and although it did take awhile, i found that soccer was not what i had so ignorantly accused it of being. paul, there is a reason why every part of the world , except ours, loves it. if you still don't like it, great, thats your call, but in your last post here, it looks like you are insulting the sport as a way of getting at me. thats pretty childish, don't you think?
Actually I think everyone has the right to voice their opinions, you too beefer...
Let me say again for everyone to hear...I think soccer is a boring sport...!
I much prefer watching baseball (the few times they show the games on Star/ESPN) but have taken a real liking to Australian Rules Rugby as an alternative sport to watch...
I guess trying to get a Lab puppy is out of the question? I've been lookng for one...
Cheers...

yawn........................
i'm done with you paul..very few people can succeed in not entertaining me, but amazingly you have come to bore me in an alarmingly short period of time.....pointing out canada instead of canadian ???...sorry man....weak to say the least ...i simply can't be bothered to reply to your posts anymore and i hope you feel the same about mine....actually i would still like to know why you undertook this pointless venture in the first place
reply as you see fit

Well Paul, you have found yourself a new ally. You are an aussie rules fan? However the game is not Australian Rules Rugby but Australia Rules football. Anyone who watches it can see it is a far more skillful, faster and tougher sport than soccer. This is why I need Indovision. |

would it also be true that anyone who actually watched/ liked it would not call it australian rules rugby? |

True, unless Paul is confusing it with Rugby League which is also popular in parts of Australia. No, Aussie rules or AFL as it is also known is a fast ball sport mainly with kicking but with tackling and high flying marking (catching). |

As I said I am a relatively new fan of this sport but it is really exciting... (can't stop can "you")
Canadian/American football players (who wear full equipment) should take a look at some of the hits... Incredible!
And beefer you are absolutely right...As of now..I am not going to waste my valuable time on the likes of you... Adios..
Cheers to everyone else!

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
I seen you 'round for a long long time
I really 'membered you when you drink my wine
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
I seen you walkin' down in Chinatown
I called you but you could not look around
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I bring my money to the welfare line
I see you standing in it every time
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
The color of your skin don't matter to me
As long as we can live in harmony
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
I'd kinda like to be the President
so I can show you how your money's spent
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Sometimes I don't speak too bright
but yet I know what I'm talking about
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
I know you're working for the CIA
they wouldn't have you in the Mafia

...lyrics from an old ( yet classic) song
...a spat with an obsessive fan
... sarcastic accusations of a love affair gone bad
... the apparent development of an eslcafe aussie rules football ( not rugby) fanclub
...and all of this because i was wondering if indovision was ever going to show english football ( not rugby)......we all really should make an effort to get together sometime ( new years holiday time) for beers. i honestly think it would be hillarious....slightly dangerous but more hillarious than anything |

Hi,
Long time reader,first time poster.
Beefer, I have read that Astro is contemplating whether to allow local TV channels to show 1 EPL match each per week. The decision was meant to be made by the end of Sept., so I would wait, and hang on in there if i were you.
Personally, i don't see the problem with supporting a team.....
Anyway, i'm in the same situation as you - although the Astro satellite has to be facing N.E i think, so my flat is buggered either way. Good luck.
p.s. I'm a liverpool fan. |
