|

I'm researching online degrees and stumbled upon WGU (Western Governors University). It is an assessment driven university. Unfortunately, the assessments can only be taken at U.S. testing sites and U.S. military base testing centers. I did present a few alternative solutions that were shot down immediately...international testing centers, local universities, consulates, etc. So, my only option is to attempt to access a U.S. military base. My question is...would I, as a civilian, have access to the testing center at a military base? I think the closest one to me (Khobar) would be the navy base in Manama, Bahrain. Any help you can provide me will be much appreciated! [/quote] |

You may well find that testing is done at the US embassy. |

According to one of my American friend, anybody wanting to access the testing centre at a US military base, has to fulfil the following conditions;
1. Must be a US citizen (by birth)
2. Must obtain clearance from FBI, CIA, and the Pentagon
3. You have to prove that you were or are not involved, directly or indirectly, with actions which are considered high risk for the security and interest of US at home or abroad.
4. At the gate of the military base, you will be asked to place the car keys on the dash board, pop the hood and the trunk, open the glove box, and open all doors, including the hood and trunk. While the vehicle is inspected inside, another guard uses a special mirror to inspect under the chassis of the car for possible bomb.
Also, you need to check with the Military attach in the US embassy in Riyadh to provide you for any update about the military test centre in KSA or Bahrain. |
