				| I am a newbie teacher with a BA in Economics and a TESOL. I recently sent my CV and headshot to asmany Chinese universities as possible, and got the most favorable (and quickest) response from the Univ. of Economics and Business in Hebei. Does anyone know about this school or life in Shijiazhuang in general? Should I hold out for word from some of the other places I emailed?
 Thanks,
 Aaron

				| I did find a website of theirs:
 http://202.206.192.67/wb/

Perhaps people can look at what they offer and see
if it looks like a good deal.

On the surface, it doesn't look too bad. The photo
under "Foreign Experts" of a woman teaching about
 Christmas wearing a semi-santa suit doesn't appeal
to me (but that's probably the type of "performance"
they are expecting from their teachers.)

I just don't think the pay is that great, but it might
be a good deal if you wanted to study Chinese at
 the same time.

Having said this, I've never been there and don't
know anyone who has, so no direct experience.

				| That's a run-of-the mill public facility such as exist by the dozen here. My concern is they did not specify any reimbursement of your airfare. And, I would ask them if they obtain your work visa and related documents - might prove vital if you want to convert your meagre income into US dollars!
You should be offered at least 5000 RMB in round trip airfare on top of the holiday allowance!

I have never been to Shijiazhuang, but it's not famous as a tourist destination, really.
And, in winter it is under snow and icy cold. Hope they have adequate heating though youn mustn't take that for granted).
