I work early mornings and live in West Jakarta, so it kind of kills my social life.
I am not really into hanging around Jaksa or Blok M, is there an alternative meeting point somewhere in West Jakarta for Expats?. |

I felt the urge to jump in and chide the magpie for such a negative attitude and then to list off all the possible alternatives... then I realised, the bird is right.
While I have no experience of such things personally, I am told that expat 'like-minded bachelors' sometimes meet up in the public facilities nearest all the hairdressing salons in Taman Anggrek. Other than that, no. |

Yes - the dangdut bars/clubs on Daan Mogot (near Citraland Mall) are awesome.
Not exactly expat hangouts - but better than the suggestion of hanging out in salons (Malu clearly has experience of this). |

I would like to see a chapter of the Hash House Harriers on Sundays in West Jkt, but nothing has materialized as of yet. |
