Where is the best place to start looking for jobs in HK? I am from USA and am a credentaialed teacher from Callifornia. I would like to work with 8-12 year olds. Will the school do the work visa for me? What is the average salary? should I apply from here (USA) or go to Hong Kong. I have been to HK many times and I am sort of familar with most areas.

Also, has anyone tried to work in Macau or know anything about jobs there.? I wouldn't mind living there since it is not as crowded.

www.classifiedpost.com is a starting point. Since you don't give any details on your qualifications I'm unable to advise if you should consider the PNET scheme.

Who would have guessed? Rolling Eyes

Jobs in Macau are as rare as hen's teeth. You might try Zhuhai, though. Just across the border and you can visit Macau for good Portuguese food and wine any time.
So also with Hong Kong. If you can't find anything there, try Shenzhen.
Your "Callifornia credentaials" will be more readily accepted in mainland China than in the SARs.

I know someone in HK and could live with them for a while. I am not interested in Mainland China at this point. I am an ESL teacher qualified to teach grades preschool-8th grade.

I will look at the link that was posted.

You can contact the Education Department in Hong Kong, or you can send your resume to the schools directly.
