Well, where there's muck, there's brass. I'm sure route67 will be stinking rich. Filthy rich, even.
*Llamlicious apologises to the forum for turning this thread into a pun-fest. In his defence, he didn't feel it was that serious an act of vandalism.* |

wow, so very, very witty of you....still, as usual, you didn't actually answer the question
however, in an effort to stay on topic, let me say that it is perfectly acceptable ( in these parts anyway) to flush jayus replies like his straight down the crapper......c'mon, beef jerky???....so sad. |

Most locals here in Indo. don't use toilet paper, they use water to wash their littlee asses, so many of the toilets can't take lots of toilet paper flushed down them.
But who gives a SXXX? |

Yep you are right I am a bit slow. The problem is I want to PM someone on another topic, but can't until I get 25 posts up. So I was looking for something interesting to give my opinion on, and toilet paper was far more interesting than some of the other bullsxxx to be found here.
Actually toilet paper has hundreds of uses such as in oil and air filters, serviettes (If you have run out of the real thing) you can blow your nose on it, use it for wiping spilt food off your shirt.
It seems a shame that most people just put sxxx on it. |

To keep this facinating subject open, I'd like to contribute my two rupiah's worth.
Why do you think there are so many adverts around the place for "Sedotan"? These necessary services are essential for cleaning out the septic tanks which most houses are graced with.
The more paper you use, the sooner the tank fills up with non-biodegradable gunk. Using water is much more environmentally friendly - just takes a bit of getting used to.
Another bit of fascintating 'loo culture'. Where houses in many western countries have to use ground water for whatever purpose, there are quite strict laws about how close the nearest septic tank is allowed to be.
When I lived in a street full of houses in Jakarta, all joined together, I often wondered how much space there was between each house pump and the tank. I for one showered with my lips zipped up
PS are there any parts of Jakarta which actually have sewered mains? |
