And for that you will likely draw the claims that as you are no longer involved with them that you no longer have a right to have an opinion about them! It really is a no win when it comes to making positive comments here - it just keeps going round and round in an effort to avoid discussion of the facts.
Where are the facts that support the suggestion that NT is a bad company to be avoided at all costs?

| 1. The positive experiences with NT seem to be only from the MALE perspective. Perhaps females have a slightly different view. |
Is that true? I am asking not suggesting that it isn't true as I haven't looked into that much detail as far as the gender of the people who post.

| 2. Clark, you still continue to disect other people'e posts point by point. Many threads are almost bloated with repetiveness. Can't you either just stick to your guns or forget it? You spar with Vikuk, but what's the point? |
That would be a discussion which is what this forum is all about. I am not going to apologize for discussing my point of view here. I think that I do stick to my guns!

| 3. As for agents, and to keep my post on topic, I've used Abroadchina.org once in the past. They had found me a great position at more than TWICE the salary that (rhymes with Suckland) was paying teachers for less work. I had a Z visa while the (rhymes with Suckland) teachers were brought into China with an L visa and could not (at that school) have it converted to a Z. |
Is abroadchina.org an agency as far doing the introductions or is it a website that lists jobs so that contact is between the school and the teacher?

| 4. I think if either of you receive ANY kind of payment from ANY kind of agent/recruiter/for-pay source in China, you should be up-front about it and either delete any references to said payees from your signatures, or be officially designated as a "paid-per-post" poster on Dave's. |
I agree. I have stated many times that I do not receive any form of payment nor do I have any business arrangement with any school or recruiter in China. People who suggest otherwise are mistaken and the fact that they don't know the facts but happily suggest otherwise is how I know that they have no interest in the truth but prefer to just push and opinion regardless of the facts.
Perhaps we should take your point 4 a bit further - Any one who suggests that another poster has ulterior motives for his or posting here should provide proof of that. If they can't prove it then perhaps they should not post it! |

Ok, Clark so please show us where the honest positive reviews of New Times are. Also anyone who knows or has dealt with the company is entitled to a opinion. Clark you seem to stick up for this company, but you say you haven't had any dealings with them. Does that mean you are you just firing off some pro-recruiter propoganda? |

Do a search using www.google.com and you will find them for yourself.
You can also refer to the site that I am involved with www.buxiban.com where we have 54 comments/reviews archived about NT dating back to 2004. Of those 41 out of 54 are positive. Of the 13 negative comments none of them refer to being ripped off. Some suggest that they were misled by NT but most of them seem to be misunderstandings more than deliberate intent e.g. teachers finding themselves working in area other than Shijiazhuang who has assumed that as NT is based in Shijiazhuang that this is where they would be working. In some of the complaints the recruiter's staff reply to those claims and quite honestly their counter claims make more sense than the original claims.
Those are the facts that I have at hand so now lets see your facts that support your negative attitude about this company.

You state that anyone has the right to an opinion whether they have worked for the company or not and then you go on to suggest that if I haven't worked for the company then my opinion must not be valid and must be no more than propoganda! This is typical tact for the anti-recruiter types out there - the old smoke screen.
I placed a list of names of recruiters earlier in this thread so I am not rooting for any one company here. I have nothing to gain whether users contact those companies or not. I place this information here to help those who are doing research and to steer them in the right direction and away from the bad recruiters. I think that we should all support recruiters that are not out there ripping off foreign teachers. I base my opinion upon my personal experiences over the last 12 years in China and the contacts that I have had with those listed companies.
Most importantly of all however no one has any specific reasons not to use NT and this to me is typical of the anti-recruiter bias. Many are willing to jump on the bash the recruiter train throwing around all sorts of accusations and suppositions, but when it comes down to the facts you can't but hear the crickets chirping!!
I have been the victim of this misinformation and mudslinging myself in the past for my involvement with a certain website and that is why I stand and call those who post such comments to account. I know from my case that people here are perfectly willing to keep beating a drum even when they know that they have no basis for their claims. I am not pushing one service or school over another - I merely have a distaste for misinformation from the anti-employer, anti-recruiter propaganda machine! |
