Hi, my husband just got an offer to work in KSA, we don't know exactly in what city. But I would like to start searching for information. I already read many messages from this forum and from other websites.
I would like to know for example, once that we are there can I and my daughters exit the SA as many times as we want and then go back (while my husband is working). I'm just thinking that if we don't adjust good, my family lives at Spain and I was thinking to go once a month or so. If is it possible, do you need to buy and exit or entry visa/authorization?
Also I have another question. I have a 3 year old that is currently receiving special services (speech, ot and pt therapy) she has a developmental delay (but nothing serious). Right now in California she has an IEP with the school district. I would like to know if the international schools they offer any of this services or if you know clinics/school that they do. Please let me know. Also I would like to know of good preeschools.
Last question. What compounds would be more child friendly (I have a 3 year old daughter and a 3 months old daughter)
Regards and thanks in advance. |

I don't believe that anyone can answer your questions without knowing your employer and what city you will be in.

VS is right. Which city you'll be in makes all the difference in the world regarding the availability of the services you need for your daughter. In Jeddah and Riyadh and maybe Dammam, you might find what you need, in a smaller town maybe not. Once you know which city you're going to be in, get on the internet, do some research, send e-mails and make phone calls.
As for compounds, again without knowing which city you're going to, how can anyone answer this question? Whatever company or minstry has offered your husband a job has an obligation to let him know beforehand which city you'll be in and what will be provided in terms of housing and family support. It would be unwise to accept an offer without knowing specific information.
If you tell us who has offered him a job, we can give much more and much better advice. |

Flying from Saudi to Spain is not exactly cheap. No direct flights. Not much change out of US$1000 round trip Economy Class. |
