Your first question: Yes, you don't need to worry, and, better still, you don't even need to depend on your current boss! In mid-August, you should go to the PSB and request an extension, which will be granted to you if
- you have legitimate reasons to stay (for example, tourism, in which case, they will probably give you a 30 day, tourist (L) visa;
- and you are at that moment staying in a designated place such as your officially-approved residence or in a hotel that's approved by the PSB.
Note that you can't get an extension if the PSB have no records on you such as registration as a resident or hotel registration slip.
Question 2:
I would be afraid about my money from such a boss! You have his word, and nothing else! What is curious is that he did not enter a clause about airfare in the contract. A contract must be approved by the PSB. If they did not spot this failure to insert it, or if they actually approved this contract knowing it was substandard you are lost!
The only advice I can give you is to wait and see! |
