Yes straight away!
But I'd do a CELTA here and then go for jobs so you can avoid classes with 35 children yelling at you.... |

There are 3 places to do the CELTA/TEFL in HCMC that I know of, I found them on whichcourse.com. They are TITC, ILA, and TEFL International, tey are all face to face and about the same price. I'm sure there are more, but I did mine in Europe and just found these online. I'd recommend if you do one, avoid online courses that don't have actual teaching components. These online certificates are not worth the paper they're printed on and won't help you get a job with any school.
As far as District 1 there are plenty of expats in D.1 but there are also plenty in other districts. District 1 is the city center and therefore going to be more expensive than most other districts (besides 2, and 7). A general rule is the further from the center the cheaper things get. |

Is there anywhere in district 1 to do a Celta course?
Thanks |

TEFL International is on Truong Dinh Street in District 3. ILA is on the border of Districts 3 and 1 literally walking distance from Pham Ngu Lao and TITC is listed at the same address as TEFL International, 115 Truong Dinh St. This info is listed on www.whichcourse.com where you can search for TEFL/CELTA courses by location. I don't really know of any other CELTA courses, but again I'm sure there are some.

Which course are you going to do? I'd be interested to see how it goes, I've a friend coming over in a few months who wants to do her CELTA. Once you finish if you could tell me which one you picked and how you liked/disliked it I'd be grateful
Cheers

Just to let you know, TELF International hasn't been on Truong Dinh in years. The cert program office is now located in the main VUS building on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia (I just butchered the spelling) on the 5th floor. I can get you a contact email if you are interested in their program. |
