Hello everyone,
So I know these questions that I have are a little overdone but thought I'd throw it out there to see if I can hear anything new.
I am arriving in late November/early December in Santiago, I know this isn't the best time but it's when I have to go based on situational factors here. Is it absolutely impossible to find work as early as December? If not, what would be the best way to start looking?
Also, without a TEFL certification, how difficult is it to find teaching positions? Would you recommend getting the certification before looking?
I appreciate any help! |

Do you have teaching experience? If you don't have any experience or a TEFL cert, I think it will be extremely difficult to find work. There are some TEFL cert courses offered here in Chile. That could be a good option before trying to find work. |

Thanks for the response!
I have some classroom experience as an assistant. I was actually going to do a certification course before going, either online or on-site, any suggestions?? I have looked into Bridge's with the job placement, as well as Oxford. |

If you are looking for a quick route to getting certified, try an online or weekend class. I got mine through i-to-i (it was pretty cheap- about $450), which was very informative for a two day class, but they don't offer job placement assistance in Chile. |
