Hey does anyone know what amazon charges to ship books to Taiwan? I just read on their site that it's $5.00, and um, that seems to good to be true. Plus a coworker told me that it's NOT true. Anyone here know?? What a deal that'd be...
thanx,

Doesn't the rate vary according to how fast you want the book to arrive, how heavy and what size it is? I suppose a $5 charge for a light book is probably good value, and expect the rate to double for larger/heavier manuscripts.

I think the cheapest rate is $9.98. But $4.99 of that is shipping and handling and not the price of postage.

Throughout the several years that I resided in Taiwan, I ordered a book or CD nearly every month. As I recall, the poster who said it's around $10, with about half of that being S&H, is correct. If you want me to check my purchases records on Amazon, pm me. I'd be glad to help, and it would only take me a minute.
