Hi all,
I've been reading through posts and have decided to head to Guad at the end of May to do TESL training at ITTO. I've seen many postings asking about the quality of the program and the info is mixed. If anyone has any comments about the program, I'd love a few more insights. I've pretty much made up my mind but I guess I'm trying to be reassured.
I'd like to know if the timing for the class (May 31 through June 25) seems like a good idea. I've read that the school term begins in Aug/Sept and schools seem to hire in July. Is this pushing it? Should I come sooner?
Thanks in advance for the help...

I would go much earlier. The better schools (= more $ and better treatment) will hire in the early spring. You could try applying before you get your TESOL - and just state on your resume that its in progress. My experience was that if you had a degree and were a native english speaker that was more than enough. The TESOL didn't really seem important to them. |
