Unbearably hot in summer, rather cold in winter, unless you have an aircon and insulation. There's a big tall thing at the east end which is rather nice to look at. Plenty of Brazilians at the west end.

Really, did you have any specific questions?

Can you present "unbearably hot" and "rather cold" in terms of degrees? People tell me they think Sapporo (where I live) is too cold to live in, but I find it warm in winter. Just trying to give people perspective sometimes requires numbers, not opinions.

Hello again,

I was interested to know if Aichi-Ken is a small town or city, the population approximately, (I was told it's countryside), the ambiance of the place, and if anyone knows of a school called J & A?

Is there a Brazilian community there ? . . . as you mentioned that all the Brazilians are on one end. And, as I possibly might be there for the summer, it would be nice to know the temperature exactly.
Thanks for your help!

In Japan "ken" means prefecture, not city, so Aichi-ken is not a city but a region. There are over 40 such prefectures in the country, of varying size.

Go to this web site and click on Aichi or on the larger section called Chubu for a look at its location and some of the cities in it.

Aichi-ken contains Nagoya, one of the largest cities in Japan, so I wouldn't exactly call Aichi-ken rural.

Take a look at any travel guide book for more info.
