That's funny, but the truth stings a bit.

It makes me think what a waste of time a lot of the bickering is here. Sometimes, at the end of a thread, what has been learned or achieved?

If you think we bicker a lot here, you should visit the links below for a real taste of vitriol:

Admittedly, my experience with forums is quite limited, something like 3 or 4 total. Based on my very limited experience, I find Dave's to be much more civil than most others I've frequented.

I burned out on a general teachers' forum due to the frequency of personal attacks there. Then there was another teachers' forum that simply became too boring to read. I used to participate on a Mexico forum (mostly expats in Mexico,) but several participants were incredibly rude. When it became a paying-members-only forum, I decided not to pay to read insulting replies.

Frater, thanks for sharing that website. Laughing

I am not sure what others think..but I think that this thread has no relevance to a general discussion forum..I think it should have been posted on the off topic forum..it is too off topic to be general..lets face it..general has its limits..I mean what if I were to start posting off topic themes here that could have been considered general by the unanalytical but then when looked at properly should have been seen to be in the off topic mode..It really is a sign of the downhill trend of this board. What the moderators are thinking of by allowing this to stay here is beyond me..TO quote myself here..

As you can see from this quote, I agree with myself and so must be right.

This is a sign that it is time to leave this board and go and join a much more controled place where the good among us will not waste our time responding or reading such posts..maybe that should be reading and responding..but that is getting off topic now...Must go change a lightbulb now..anybody know any good light bulb sites...

Think it's about time to make a poll to see how you change it and whether or not the bulb really does need changing.
