Hello Liz,
I can probably help you out if you have any specific questions about VTC. I am also quite familiar with the PNET and SNET program as I went through the application process for both but eventually decided to work for the VTC.
In regards to the comments by Serious Fun, I think he/she is a little confused. While the VTC students are certainly not exceptional scholars they are far from special. VTC also have a number of colleges called Youth Colleges. Now those students are certainly special. I had the misfortune of doing a couple of trial lessons at one to help my boss with something and it was a nightmare. However, if you are working at an IVE then you would find the students are not exceptionally brilliant but generally pretty good kids. I say kids even though they are aged between 18-21 on average.
