hi there,

if you take a job sight unseen, you run the risk of winding up in a sorry dump of a school. if you show up without a job, you run the risk of not finding a job.

i'm currently working for a company called BSK and i must say that they're a decent company to work for and they honor the contract. they pay decently and offer some good perks. search up BSK or pecican on the internet.

the company assigns up to public elementary schools which means the kids are far better behaved than in the private schools.

by the way, why do you want to pass off as half white? there are three pricing levels here: the price for chinese (the cheapest), the price for chinese foreigners (the mid price) and the price for white folks (the most expensive).

mga, you sound like too much of a plant to me, to take your post as an honest one. Are you being paid recruiter's fees by the group? I'm sorry, but your tone is seriously lacking in what I would call disinterest. Plus, your advice (and your information) are screwy.

Sounds like a Mission Impossible. Take a job sight unseen (offered by anyone other than BSK, I presume?) and get a lousy job in a sorry dump of a school. Come here to find a job (by yourself), and you probably won't find one. Geez, that's tough.

For the information of the person who made the original request, it would be almost impossible to come to Shanghai and not find work, and I know that applies to many other centers in China as well.

BTW, your 'three pricing levels' are BS. In China, for a given person in a given market, the only real variable in your income will be your negotiating ability. That may not be true in your version of the BSK public school system.

As to your advice that 'BSK kids are better-behaved because they're in the public school system', you might want to read some posts on this board about that topic. Horror stories exist in both systems.

I think you should take your bad advice someplace else.
