As a newbie about to head to my first job in Izmir, I'm very aware that the amount of knowledge I have about EFL teaching could fit into a thimble, so any comments would be much appreciated.
I have a job working for TES INternational and I think they plan to farm me out to local state shools to teach conversational english....without a curriculum! My god, where do I start!
Has anyone got any information about the school and any suggestions about job plans?
Also, is it possible for me to obtain a work visa after I get to Turkey
( I'm a New Zealander living in London ) or am I wiser to wait and get it from the Consulate here in London? |

Unless you want a lot of grief at a later time when you really don't need it get the visa sorted out BEFORE you hit Turkish soil . You will just have to turn around and get to your nearest consulate outside the country and thats an expense you don'tneed ,believe me doing it now saves a lot of hassle . Good luck I hear very little about TES keep me informed about themif you can I'm in Izmir too . |
