Hi everyone,

I am about to head down to Santiago but just thought I'd throw another question out about the visa process.

I am hoping to get a work visa through a contract, so I would do this all there, but in preparation are there any papers I might want to make sure I have with me to help the process?

Any hints or general info about getting a visa and where to start (or do the schools just do most of it for you? sorry for the silly question) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

are you american? If so you need your social security card. If you're from another country you would need the equivalent. Also you need the original or a certified copy of your TEFL cert/CELTA.

In applying for a student visa, I had to provide a police/criminal record report from my local police; bank statement to prove "financial solvency"; 4 extra passport-sized photos; doctor's report proving me free of AIDS/HIV and having a good bill of health- no infectious diseases; processing fee. contact the consulate for more details because requirements depend on what type of visa you're applying for. Hope it helps
