| I have to admit the name gave me a laugh. But since Im new to the Taiwan scene I wanted to know if anyone has heard of this school? If so is it decent? Also if anyone could breifly tell me about the area of Hsinchu that would be great. |

Hi Tuna,
I have to admit that I don't know anything about the school. I just drive by the sign. It's pretty faded so I think it's been there for while.
Hsinchu's a mid-sized city on the North of the island. About an hour and a half south of Taipei and north of Taichung. My understanding is that it has the highest average price for buying a home on Taiwan. And rent's not cheap either. There is less rain and less pollution that Taipei. And less to do after work. One needs a scooter or needs to live close to work unless they're willing to walk a lot or take taxis. There's a stable, active expat community and lots of opportunities to meet and interact with Taiwanese. If you want to teach adults this is the place to do it.
