I've been tutoring in a tutoring center for four years. I've done private tutoring during this time, as well.
Who do you think would be the best references?
I've considered other tutors, including the (unofficial) head of the tutoring center.
Also, I've considered two bosses. The bosses aren't in the center nearly as much, so don't see me tutoring. One of those bosses points me to private students(indicating a high opinion). The other boss is in the lab, mostly when he doesn't have work to do for classes--so usually, not much.
I've also considered a couple of my students.
Also, is it good to put references on the resume, or provide them when the employer asks? I haven't told anyone at work about this, to avoid getting my hours cut early. I don't know if they would get cut early, but they won't if no one knows. If references should be on the resume, what should be included? Name, job position, and email address? Is phone number necessary? |
