Hello All!!
I'll be arriving in Mexico (cancun) on Feb 12th to begin a Celta in Playa Del Carmen, I've been advised to get a rabies injection that consists of 3 seperate injections each given 1 week at a time. This would cost me �113!! I've got all the other necessary ones but is rabies really needed??
I'll be travelling to Mexico City also.

I didn't know you could get a rabies vaccination until reading this site. I don't recall anyone every mentioning that they've gotten the shots or that they've contracted rabies here, so it sounds like overkill to me. I guess if you plan to be around wild animals it would be a good idea.
Are people getting rabies shots in other countries? Curious to know.. |

Did this advice come from the same people who stand to profit from you?
The price seems a bit excessive.
Why not wait and do it in Mexico at a fraction of the cost? |
