|
|
My wife and I have multi entry visas for Taiwan that were issued by our former employer. The visas are valid until March 2008.
We are no longer working for this employer and are currently travelling in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia but would like to return to Taiwan to look for employment opportunities elsewhere on the island.
However, I'm confused about how to go about entering again.
Can we re-enter Taiwan using our current visas or are they connected to our work permits which I'm sure will have been cancelled by our employer.
I'd hate to show up in Taipei and only qualify for the 30 day visa and be forced to do a visa run; on the other hand I'd hate to pay for a new visa and be forced to spend a few days in Bangkok while I wait for it be processed and then find out I didn't need it.
Thanks in advance for the help. |

| Your visa is connected to your work permit, and has therefore been cancelled. |

| I believe you are referring to your multiple re-entry permit. That, along with your resident visa and work permit (as suggested by another), will have been canceled by now. You need to start over from square one with a visitor visa, basically. |
