I charge around 10 USD 1 hour one on one. If two -three four...the rate was half per student...ie two students..15..three 20...four 25 like that.
Now I will do English lessons if the beer is free..More less I value friendship over money..So if a student and I hit it off..I'll go have a drink and do conversation English free...if he buys of corse Smile

Why don't you ask for the money up front? Nevermind a free trial class, but if they like your style, they will accept this deal: Pay in advance a minimum of 3 classes. It's hard to gulp down all that cheap beer so you shouldn't let them pay you in kind.

Now, that would be a sight for sore eyes Shocked
Lording it over half a dozen students in Dunkin' Donuts.
Remember to get the waitress to clean the table before they do any exercises.

BTW how do you divide up the bill at the end?
You would have to charge each one, of four, 11USD and 25 cents.

MOD EDIT
Old Lion, if you are serious about teaching and want to leave a good impression, ignore that comment. Don't mix alcohol with teaching. A good teacher is always revered for his professional conduct. You can't act certain stature, or moral fiber. Either you have it or you don't
