Hello everybody....

I just landed in Taipei and next Im going to Taichung to see if I want to live there.

Does anybody have any suggestions about a hostel or some other cheap place to crash?

Th lonely planet says all the budget places are dung heaps (paraphrasing) anybody know of a secret awesome place?

And also...a recruiter just told my girlfriend that the job market totally dried up in Taiwan...is that true?

AS always I really appreciate your help, so far everybody on this has been awesome.

And anybody in Taichung who knows of a school that is hiring that pays the market wage, that would be awesome info.

Good Luck! Chinese New Year is coming and isn't typically a major hiring time, but there are jobs out there to be had.
