From what I am reading there are significant jobs in Colombia, esp in Bogota, Cali and a few other big cities.
Yet finding info on Colombia is in a "general" forum. Boo hoo.
Dave? Can we change this, por favor?
Gracias,
Steph

I already emailed Dave to ask if we could take Colombia out of the General Latin American forum and give it its own. It would probably help to have other folks request this as well, if wanted.
Gracias,

I still say PM other posters and also have them email Dave's. I tried, with no luck by myself to get a Peru forum for months, Then finally asked other posters to help me. |

I think it would be nice to have all the countries, for example:
Argentina / Uruguay
Bolivia / Peru
Colombia / Venezuela.
They could be grouped according to geographics, instead of just adding more forums, we could use the ones we have. |

Your chosen groupings would be fighting words to a lot of Latin Americans.
But seriously, how come you skipped Ecuador?
Anyway, I for one prefer the general forum- I'm not going to browse 6 different forums, especially for countries I've never seen. But if an interesting looking post comes up on the general forum, it can catch my eye...
Best,

I agree with Justin. I'm not in favor of more and more subforms with little traffic. I've been to Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Coasta Rica and am interested in Latin America in general. I'm also a busy person who uses the internet at work--and not a super fast connection. I don't want to be opening all those subforms, and infact don't with the ones that already exsist. I think we would have more productive threads if they were all in the General Latin America thread. I only read Mexico and there in the General Latin America forum. I'd be torn as to whether or not Mexico should have a separate forum. In theory no, but there are more regulars there than in the General Latin America forum, and other posts would probably get lost among the Mexican one.
But then I mentioned this on another website where they opened forums for EVERY country, and my opinion seems to be in the minority. Others seemed to think people would post if there was a forum for that country. But in truth those forums have been nearly empty for months...
WOW this was my 2000th post! |

good points MELEE....it will probably be a pretty quiet forum, unless someone "in-country" really starts posting and gets some excitement, and fresh information. |
