I seem to recall someone else on this board saying they had their UK transcripts sent directly to the Higher Colleges, avoiding the 'validation' process required. Has anyone else tried this option?
I've had my American degrees validated for the purpose of employment in the UAE (it was a pain in the backside), but what goes into getting the British diploma ("parchment") validated for the UAE? |

I've done this twice now for the UAE as our college was preparing for accreditation. I contacted three British universities and asked for copies of transcripts to be sent to the college HR department. One didn't have a a transcript, one charged 15 and the other was free. Two of the universities have online facilities for this service. |

When I was at HCT, the only thing done was the ordering of transcripts from your universities to be mailed directly to them. Someone just lately posted that they were still doing the same thing.
Very sensible actually, as unlike the other paper shuffle, it actually proves that you did attend and receive a degree. All those ribbons, wax stamps, and charges don't prove much of anything but that you can make a copy and sign your name.
