Hi!
To all the good Samaritans here in Thailand I am trying to secure a serious teaching employment.

I am picky indeed... I need a salary starting from 45K/month and I do not want to teach "little kids"
I have all the requirements necessary to teach in Thailand, i.e. TEFL/MA/MBA.

I am in China at the present, and refuse myself to show up in BKK, jobless, blind, and hoping for good luck...

My favorite spots are Pattaya and BKK.
Thank you to all PM!!!!

Seriously are you kidding? Firstly...almost no one who gets a job here does so from outside of Thailand. There are far too many teachers lurking locally to fill the positions. If your MA is in Education then you can pull more than 45,000 but that will be your ceiling if you hold any other degree. And in Thailand you kind of have to take what you can get with the types of students unless you've been here a couple years and have gotten to know people who can hook you up with the sweeter deals. Don't expect someone to do it sight unseen. Bangkok is the highest paying place in Thailand. If you want to go to Pattaya then forget about an impressive salary. Pattaya, Phuket, etc... are all tourist spots and always have a flow of transient foreigners who fill the jobs and keep the salaries low. I think you need to re-evaluate your expectations a bit.

Previous poster is spot on.

The starting wage you desire is quite possible, but you will need to be on the scene to land such a job.

Do a little research, come here on an interview visit - and line up your job. That's what I did when I first moved here.

Thailand is different - no one is going to hand you the job you want on a platter.
