From what I've heard, this decision was made weeks ago.

What decision might that be?

Lame ducks always go into the pot. The VC was spotted the very next day pinioning his minions.

No one's forcing you to be here mac - perhaps follow your own advice and check out the post on UAE entry requirements for felines.

Methinks there are many watching this space - I know of a few Daves newbies who have read this thread and are thankful for it

Plain English please Elie Night.

Does this mean that the 'meeting' never took place?

Is your goose cooked in the same pot as your lame duck?

My sources tell me there was no meeting, that VCs were all present and correct on their various campuses.

I know a couple of people who are still clinging to this idea of a pay rise coming this month.................with those hopes fading fast.

Think it's time to put this idea to rest.

We've all got different 'sources', and mine tell me there was a 3 day meeting in AD, which ended today. What's the point of putting to rest the idea of a payrise so quickly? Don't you wish your friends well?

So there was a 3-day meeting in AD. There are lot of looong meetings. What are you suggesting that the meeting should be linked to - the alleged "pay increase"? Who was there? What was the agenda? And were the Directors and/Deans there?

What is the point of saying there was a meeting? For all we know it was a looooong debriefing session in the aftermath of the Bush visit... not to mention the flooding due to the rain....

Of course I wish my friends well - and I wish that gas prices stay below 10 Dh/gal. I mean why wouldn't I as a vehicle owner. Who really wants to pay more for anything?? But we will pay more as inflation continues...

OTOH, I also wish that "soothsayers" and "stirrers" go away or start a thread about the utility of starting meaningless threads that are full of inuendo, supposition, and..

I also wish those friends who provide valid information to newBs so that they can make an informed decision about coming here, or not..

Also, I also say to those who wish to continue with useless information: Mee-yow! Cats are fine, but useless information is worse than useless - if gives the uninitiated a false idea of what is actually happening.

Excuse me, but I see a mouse.. Gotta go Wink

Oh.......Heck, it is only a rat Smile - I should have my smelling ability checked.
