				| I have good friends in Fujairah, who are experienced teacher trainers and run the CELTA programme based at HCT Fujairah Women's College. It is part-time in the evenings. The mix of students includes Brits, Canadians, Egyptians, Australians, Americans. | |

				| A few of my colleagues and I recently did the part time CELTA at International House Dubai, and we were quite happy with the trainers, the way the course was conducted, and the insight we gained regarding our own teaching practices. There were plenty of resources on hand, a lot of support, and overall there was little that we saw as negative aspects of the course. It is slightly more expensive than HCT's CELTA, but not by much. | |

	  | Dear 773, I take it you're from the "Midwest" then ("Mary, merry, marry all sounding the same.) I'm pretty sure that's regional in the USA. I'm originally from Boston, and people there have distinctly different pronunciations of the three words.

Actually, I am from upstate NY (near Buffalo). I lived in Boston for a year and never picked up on that. Interesting!!!!

				| CELTA/DELTA/TESOL/TEFL Certificates are only papers to collect and potential employers especially these days are looking for REAL DEGREES such as Teaching Credentials or PGCEs.
I wouldn't waste my time and money to get a CELTA, but I would spend more time and more money to get a Postgraduate Certification in Education.

Teaching jobs are getting highly competitive these days and there are some employers who are looking even for Masters in education.

 Your thoughts?

				| Moonshine, did you mention earlier in this thread that you're also pursuing a MA TESOL? | |
