| No, somewhere at the intersection of Insurgentes and Reforma. Have been looking for it and can`t find it. |

Even better...Obregon and Cordoba, about two blocks from Jalapa...there's a block of used book stores. |
As my small supply of English-language books runs out, I've decided to revive this thread and ask for help finding more. Guy, what are the prices like in the used book stores in your neighborhood? Do they have a pretty good selection of titles? |

| I finally made it to the English library in Cuernavaca, after knowing about it for a year. It's in an Anglican church in colonia Delicias and membership is 50 pesos for six months (I think). With that you can borrow books for two weeks at a time. They also have a few for sale. The selection is surprisingly good. Until now I've survived on exchanging books with friends and picking up more on the holidays, but I think I will be going there often. |

I was given a flyer at work today for a Church Bazaar that is happening this Saturday, Dec. 1st. They are selling several things, among them English paperbacks for $15 pesos/each. It begins at 11 a.m.
The flyer also says that there will be:
- traditional British food
- variety of sweets/baked goods
- Christmas decorations
- Raffles
- Childrens toys/games
....and Saint Patricks Battalion Pipe Bank!
For those who are interested, the address is:
Montes Escandinavos 405 esq. Sierra Madre
Lomas de Chapultepec |

Hi,
I'm a newbie but not to Mexico. I will be soon taking my TEFL online with Teachers Latin America then going to Mexico City for my internship. Anyways I can take some request for books and bring them when I come. I get books on Half.com and order new ones for next to nothing. Some are like .75 brand new. And I have several I don't read here that will have to go somewhere. Everything is being sold before I move. Extra play money. PM if anyone is interested I don't mind helping out. |

I just bought a shipment of 3 paperback novels on eBay for only $US 10, total price includes postage (less than 110 pesos)! I could hardly have got them cheaper in a bricks-and-mortar bookstore. If they arrive, I'll be a happy camper!

| They arrived today; they only took 2 weeks! Another book I had ordered a couple days prior to that also arrived today. A further book I had also bought in late January only took 6 days to arrive. |

Thanks for that update. I'm going to start looking for books on E-bay very soon. I hope there's a lot of classic fiction for sale - with only a dial-up internet connection and no cable on my old TV, I've reverted to reading for most of my entertainment. Now is a good time to finally read War and Peace, Proust, and some the works of the author of David Copperfield (can't believe this name was beeped the first time around) I have missed over the years. |

MO, I frequently buy books from eBay. We can put an order together sometime and save on shipping as some of the larger vendors have thousands of titles and will offer discounts to bundle orders.
Have two on the way as we speak... |

| Sounds good! And since the "mail reception center" in my building is the floor of the vestibule, it would be safer for me to have my books sent to your place. Let me know the next time you're going to send off an order. |
