No, it is not!
Not true! Your stereotyping of me is totally wrong! |
Stereotyping? You've got 'KSA' written by your name as your 'location' (presumably meaning you've lived/worked there? Unless you made this up?) and you've made 1000+ posts on this board, many on numerous aspects of living and working in Saudi. Certainly, one could argue (unlike many who post here regularly) that you go for quantity rather than quality in much of your posting, but you're certainly (a) posting regularly on the topic, and (b) claiming to know about it. So where, precisely, does 'stereotyping' come in??? Yet another example of your not reading / understanding the posts you're replying to.
I think your other point, such as it is, has already been answered more than once on this thread. |

Dear 007,
Even if the "proof" were only reciting the Shahadah (in Arabic) and adhering
to the Five Pillars of Islam, that, to my mind, anyway, would still be "proof."

Dear John
I did not mention anything about "proof" in my posts!
I think your reply is for Saudi4Ever!
I think the real proof is what you believe in, and what is hidden in your heart!
And this is very difficult to prove because it is between you and God!
The faith is what is on your heart and reflected or verified by your actions!
So, the question is; how to differentiate between a faithful person and a hypocrite?

What do you mean by 'quality'? And how do you measure it?
What has quality or quantity to do with postings?
All posts here are subject to personal judgement, and each poster is reflecting on his specific experience, and quality or quantity has nothing to do with the heart of the matter!
I do not see any 'quality' either in your posts!

It comes in your 'mental' model of me!
Still, your mental model of me is not compatible with my real model! |

Dear 007,
You didn't mention anything about proof? Well, you certainly referred to it:
"Quote:
And if I were a Muslim and applied for such a job, I'd better be able to prove I'm a Muslim.
Not necessarily!"
I took your reply to mean that one would "not necessarily" have to "prove" that he/she was a Muslim.
Was I mistaken?

John,
Never have high expectations of 007 actually reading and comprehending... nor answering logically or helpfully. It is just not in his troll-like nature.

It is rare that the employers in KSA put a condition/requirement that you have to be a Muslim! Unless, of course the job advert was for a Mufti, Imam, or a teacher for Islamic subjects, or the location of the employer is inside the Al-Haram cities, and these usually are advertised in the Islamic countries.

This is a kind of Ostracism!
Sister VS wants to expel 007 from the 'virtual' city of Dave!
Have at least a good faith on me. |

I've said it before: OO7 is a comedy genius.
I've come to suspect he might be Sacha Baron-Cohen! |

Dear Griff-James,
Well, I can't put my finger on exactly why, but somehow I doubt it:
"Baron Cohen first acted in theatrical productions featuring the Socialist-Zionist youth movement Habonim Dror.
He spent a year in Israel at Kibbutz Rosh HaNikra and Kibbutz Beit HaEmek as part of the Shnat Habonim Dror, before matriculating to university.
According to Baron Cohen, "I wouldn't say that I am a religious Jew, but I'm still proud to be Jewish." However, he keeps kosher and generally observes the Jewish Sabbath, refusing to answer the phone on Shabbat.
Baron Cohen frequently speaks in Hebrew and Polish while playing the anti-Semitic character Borat. He also sang the lyrics from an old Hebrew folk song in an episode of Da Ali G Show. Additionally he identifies his country's greatest scientist, who he says discovered a woman's brain is the same size as that of a squirrel, as "Dr Yarmulke". (A yarmulke, or kippah, is the skullcap worn by Jews.)"

John |

Statistically you can be fairly sure that any information 007 gives or any opinion he expresses is wrong.
The forbidden zone in both Makkah and Madinah extends many kilometers from the center for example.
And of course you get a different color iqama according to your religion. There are also many schools that now only take Moslem teachers, though as the pay and conditions are dire that could be considered positive discrimination. |
