If you teach English only at a private school K-12 would 28hrs (40 min classes) blocked each day be the norm for most teachers. What is it usually like in terms of paperwork and general work load which would be satisfactory to the leaders in these schools?
Also what is the rule when a teacher takes over another teacher's position with 4 months left of the year but they will not or cannot give you a working visa but instead you have to go to UAE and comeback in. Is this actually illegal?
How does it work in Oman?
Look forward to any response. |

You have to have a work visa (and ipso facto a residency visa) to work in Oman legally. Same goes for UAE and Qatar and Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Anything less is illegal, you're on a tourist/visit visa and not allowed to work. |

Thanx Helen,
What is a normal hourly teaching load for private K-12 schools? |
