An amnesty, by its very definition, is retrospective.
If they were going to give you a 2-month amnesty in advance, why not just state 3 months?
FYI, what it means is that the visa is valid for a total of 3 months, but each individual stay must be no more than 30 days. You could go for 30 days, leave, and then do the same two more times. Then, however, you must leave and get a new visa...or in some cases you can get it renewed in-kingdom |

My advice is avoid any contarct where you get a business visa. I know that PMU in Khobar do this but they are a special case, considering who their 'main man' is, and his position in KSA. |

The Industrial Academy of Jubail also gets people in on business visas, which state that you are not allowed to work in the KSA. Therefore, you are a consultant on a teacher's wage. Bummer.
Pros:
1.) It's multi-entry so you can run.
2.) When you come back for another employer you can say that you have never worked in Saudi.
3.) Employers can't really take you to court should you break the contract by running because your boss doctors everyone's test results to ensure a 100% pass rate and SABIC's happiness, therebye reducing your role from one as a teacher to one of puppet master. 'Academy teachers very good. JIC bad as too many fail. Let's give academy bigger contract'...said big chief SABIC.
Cons:
1.) You can't open a bank account.
2.) You can't send money home because you don't have an 'iqamaa'.
3.) You have to go to Bahrain every month, which is ok as long as the minibus hasn't got a Pakistani teacher who refuses to enter the land of the devil and insists on the driver turning round at the boarder and heading north again. |

Could he elaborate ? Was he on a minibus headed to Bahrain when one of the bearded mujaheddin had a crisis of conscience about leaving KSA for a land where they openly sell spirituous liquor and have harlots on every corner ?
Do tell.
