but when I checked out the universities, I found several of them to be broken links.
(This is NOT uncommon for these types of websites; someone had a great idea, set it up successfully. but then never wanted to do any maintenance on the site.)

Is there anyone else who knows of such a page, containing the basic contact addresses for universities and other EFL programs ?

Hi guys.

Wikipedia has a pretty good list of schools in the UAE. Their list includes k-12 and colleges and universities. It is a good place to start.

Rather a bizarre list... all of the HCT branches listed separately, but not with the two branches of Zayed University.

A place I've never heard of: The American University in Asia?? But no mention of one of the most successful places - The American University in Sharjah.

Both sites are useful for picking up names and then you can google up the current websites.
