A lot more from this part of the world will head for TESOL-Arabia. Cheaper and more relevant to local needs. |

Yes, but lots of readers and newbies are here who may be in the US. Actually if any of them are actually interested in teaching anywhere in the world, this is a very useful way to spend a long weekend. (and it is in NYC which ads extra appeal) It is expensive, but there is always the YMCA for cheaper, clean rooms.
You can go to seminars about teaching in various parts of the world and talk to teachers who actually teach and live there. There is usually a large ME contingent.
Great for networking... Going to the NYC TESOL conference in 1985 is how I ended up getting the Fellowship to AUC. It was money well spent for me.
