Just wondering what my chances were...
I'm from the UK, I have a degree(Film and Drama), no teaching certificate and am currently training to be a journalist.
I'm looking into teaching somewhere in Latin America or Asia from September onwards. I'm looking mainly at countries like Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.
Would it be possible for me to fly out to one of those countries and sort out a job with my skills? If so, how much money should i bring with me? |

YOu're chances are great. Mexico might be the easiest. But you oculd probably get a job just about anywhere in LA, pay might not be the best, you might not get a visa either. Best places for those things are schools and unis.
Bring about 1000 or 2000 USd and you should be fine |

Let me add to NG's post, regarding Mexico at least, and point out that without specific teaching experience or a background in English or education, elementary and secondary schools and unis likely won't hire you. Something in film/drama maybe? I'm assuming Ronnie is talking about teaching English? |

Yes, teaching English. Would there be a market for film studies/drama teachers in L.A?
I have some teaching experience,as part of my degree, I taught drama to elementary school children for a month.
I'm guessing sorting out a job in Asia might be more viable for now before looking to L.A. |

Check the international schools. if they don'thave a position, they might open one for you. WE just got a music teacher AND drama one. They've never had either before.
