Thanks, but I imagined Cprus would be full of native English speakers and military people?
I am trying to find somewhere in Turkey on the coast-Med-where there are not too many German or English people, but at the same time, work as a teacher..maybe this is not too easy to find?
My aim is to travel round Turkey and teach too, but this also seems a bit of a fantasy, looking at the salaries...am I right to keep trying?
Any further help would be great. :-) |

If you are talking about Northern Cyprus, the "military people" are all Turks. The British bases are all on Southern Cyprus.
In Northern Cyprus there are pockets of Anglophone settlers.
If you want to avoid this sort of thing go to somewhere remote in Turkey, but you will find Germans everywhere ! Trabzond ? Diyarbakir ? |

another question then...what is the cost of living like in Antalya? I mean, a flat with some kind of a view and cash to eat out in non-tourist places in the area, travel around a bit at wekends..
