Most - probably all - adjuncts are there with a spouse whose employer provides them with the visa to be in the country. As I understand it, HCT will not provide visas for adjuncts... another part of the money saving reason that they use them in the first place.

yeah, if I had half a brain, I'd simply copy and paste my typings here into a MS Word Doc, hit spell check and then paste
duh

so I guess I am lazy and dumb - maybe this is why I don't have the MA yet

Have you tried using Firefox as a browser? It is so much better than IE in so many ways, and it has a spellchecker that works with everything you type... boards, blogs... great stuff.
Saves my life.
