Yes, Hail is shortcut bringing in people on Biz visas. Reason is, the new term starts in Feb. 2008. Not enough time to process you for an Iqama.
It is the Hadjj time, so visas are slow to process. Mostly Hadjj Visas are given priorities.
The Iqama process is detailed, including physicals and processing for a work visa.
Final exams are also coming-up, further slowing things down.

2. Schools for children are very limited and not up to standards.
3. Old shortcut of a Biz Visa has many traps attached to it. Many renewals and trips to Bahrain, just to mention the obvious.
4. No Iqama means: no bank account, no car, no money transfers, and a constant id issue.
5. Mishar Compound is isolated and far away from town.
6. Hail Province is a very conservative religious area. Females have a rough time.
7. Academic leadership leaves much to be desired.

I got a job offer from Hail university through Tulba, 12000 SR a month, I called them about Iqama, been told it renewed regularly,and they transfer money abroad on my behalf, no need to bank account .

| any schools for children in English? I am thinking about an application to the university but i just want to make sure that there are schools offering English medium education. Thanks |

| Not in Hail. Try PMU in Khobar which hires both men and women. |

I am currently in Riyadh with a BA, CELTA and ten years of experience at impressive-seeming places, mostly in Europe. I am making just over 12000 here.

After 3 months you will be transitted to the university and get the Iqama.
It is worth to try like me, it is the best place in terms of accommodation and respect.
Donot listen to the negative people, the problem with them not with the place, and brasscat worked here before they fired him because he got fake papers !! this is the truth I knew now from an American teacher who is working here and very happy. The problem always with the people who are ZIGZAG and cheaty !! not with the place.
Donot listen to the negative people and look to the positive sides.
Come to Hail, it is worth trying, and you will regret nothing. |

First things first. Tubla is owned and operated by a character named Shazly, who is an official at Hail. He is the one with the fake documents. This discovered fact cost people their job.
If you are referring to a cute backstabbing weasel with the initials of D.H.
Yes, he is quite the company man, also responsible for illegally accessing confidential records and was the favorite lap dog of the Desert Snail.
As for me, the brasscat, all of my academic transcripts were verified and certified by the Saudi Embassy in Washington, D.C. on July 15, 2007. Doesn't sound very fake to me! Sounds like ye olde try at a smear.
Iqamas are issued for a year at a time. Also the Work Permit and Multiple Entry Visa are good for 6 months. I have both. Only Biz Visas have to be constantly renewed.
Weather in Hail. You mean all those mountains and the Al Nufud Dessert just disappeared? I don't think so.
The people of Hail are indeed good people. All you need is your once a week shopping bus to travel 20 km to see them. I go into Al-Khobar everyday, also 4 shopping buses per week.
A whole 12,000 SAR, great deal. One little thing, is it a 10 or 12 month contract? Who paid for your airline ticket to the UOH wonderland? PMU paid for mine.
Wait until the hot season at Mishar-land. It is just hotter than Hail.
