I'm coming to Vietnam next month and I'm just wondering about how most employers schedule the teachers working hours. In Korea I had back to back classes with just 10 minutes in between each class mostly in the afternoon. Will it be like that in Vietnam? Or are there more "split shift" jobs where you teach a few hours, sit around for an hour or two and then teach a few more hours?

Also, do most people teach full-time at just one school or is it more often part-time at a few schools?

Thanks. I really appreciate any info!

K man. Most places do have splits, but the choice is yours, to do or not to do. And if not to do, then find a school that doesn't do it.

Splits are normally working mornings and then evenings for adults and if you re into the little ones, then splits tend to be days rather than hours, ie - teaching T & T & S & S, or teaching M & W & F & S & S.

Shop around and look for what you think will best suit you. Some places may even offer you a split and a move a little further down the track.

Do you mean "down the track" as in "a rung up the ladder" or something similar? Or am I missing the scent of sarcasm? thanks
