I have just returned from a short holiday to Danang and it would be very difficult , if not impossible, to live on US$14 per day. Prices have increased
substantially, 40-50 per cent. However, it depends on your living standards. Therefore, if you are similar to redroof and can live like
a PIG "proverbial porcine animal in wet earth" Apollo wants to hear from you.

STEADY ON - I didn't say I did (or had any desire to) live like a pig.

I commented that I'd been as happy as the proverbial "porcine animal in wet earth".

Native speakers generally recognize cliches, idiosm, metaphors etc and the intended meanings and nuances thereof.

Hope that clarifies things.
