Hi all, I have a very open and general question because I'm nowhere near committing. I've taught in Asia and I'm wondering what parallels, if any, can be drawn between living and teaching in Asia and doing the same in Venezuela.
Also, is it difficult to find work in Venezuela and can one live decently on a teacher's wages? Thanks in advance.

If you were in China, then you can survive in Latin America. VENUSA is a good place to start looking for jobs. Good luck

Hi

It is difficult. What I am doing, besides working in Berlitz here, is working online, and then selling the dollars i make from that job (based in Taiwan) at twice the legal value.

It really is not worth it.

No hay muchas oportunidades en Venezuela, y las personas que tienen trabajo ahi dicen que los salarios son muy bajos.

Venezuela es un pais interesante, pero la industria del aprendizaje del ingles no es muy desarollada en Venezuela.

'There aren't many opportunities in Venezuela, and people there who have jobs say the salaries are very low.

Venezuela is an interesting country, but the ESL industry isn't very developped in Venezuela.'
