generally speaking, how is the air quality in dalian?
clear most days?
hazy most days?
always hazy?

The air quality is great for China. A few hazy days but more weather wise than pollution. Blue skies abound.

I noticed you are in Masan. Great city, smaller than Dalian but comparable in some good ways. Good bar scene, beautiful coast lines and comfortable pace of life.

yes, nice laid back pace. the air is clean. there are two bars here for expats and no one i knows would even think of swimming in the water.

masan, korea.

dalian has something like 5 million folks. masan has about 1/10th of that.

I lived in Masan for 18months and found it to be a great place., that was a few years ago though, could have changed. Found a lot of great bars, and coffee houses not only expat places. Never went swimming, spent many a weekend walking along the beautiful coastline. I did say Masan was smaller than Dalian but still comparable.

Regardless, Dalian is very clean.
